My experiences of project visit in Slovenia!
Turkish opinion about Slovenia project visit
After leaving LJUBLJANA in snow and white, our school has been looked forward to hearing our impresion for Project visit. We organized the meeting to inform our teachers about the Project visit in Slovenia.
We decorated the window of the entrance. All broschures, cds, books and photographs have been presented to pupils, teachers, parents.
Pupils were so excited and a little nervous before the visit because they would know different culture and people for the first time. All anxiety disappaered with the beginning with a warm Slovenian colleague‘s meeting us at the airport..
Project seminar:
We started Project work. It ‘s time to present our pupils‘ working outcomes; puppet, logo figure, cds, brochures …etc. We choose Logo and pupet, renewed Project and programmed next seminar.
And we are ready to discover the beauty of Ljubljana
What we got:
Ø * Dicovering the natural beauty of Ljubljana such as: Postojna Cave, The Coastal region, The villages in Mediterranean, The Bled Lake and the Alps.
Ø * Some Resemblance to way of life, in terms of some eating habits, drinking Turkish Coffe with a little difference (You can drink Turkish Coffe with milk in Slovenia)
Ø * some words in both language, ‘Çorba ‘ has the same meaning and pronunciation.
Ø * Mediterranean Region Isparta we live, in Meditarranean Region. Adriatic reminds us Antalya.
ThThe most important one is that we are so right to prepare the BREAKTHROUGH:
Ø Living together –Accepting each other ‘Namely;
- We lived together
- Introduced our culture
- Knew different cultures
- Understood each other
So Why don´t we accept each other?
TeTeachers and pupils impression about working seminar in Slovenia:
By Yasemin Celik, English Teacher, Project Coordinator in Nazmiye Demirel Primary School:
‘I was sure to reflect our results positively when I got the first message from Sylvia for this Project. We made this Project to be certain the right and good impression from the pupils they came.
‘To fear results from not to know ‘. Only we can overcome the fear by knowing and understanding .
‘Breakthrough’ will prove us how to found the bridge of ‘international fellowship’. I decided to realize this Project in my school because pupils will be our future and no one has right to leave the world to the uncounscious adults. This was the first step and the others will follow us. Breakthrough is not only Project but also discovery the world, people, life; beginning with inside you’

Nazmiye Demirel Primary School.
‘I am so pleased to be a part of this Project. All participants in the Project are very close, friendly and sincere. I had no doubt about this Project how to reach to its aim when I see their performance during the seminar in the Project.
Beside the beauty of her, Slovenia has nice people. I think their natural beauty of surrounding they shoved us is the reflection of their beauty of human nature. I thank them for this.
It was another pleasure for me to discover Austrian’s and Romanian ‘s sympathetic and joke-loving parts .
It was excellent to be surrounded with just the ‘sisterhood of Project ‘ I think we reached our goal .’
First impressions of pupils:
by Nurretin Can Sezgin; 6-c pupil:
‘After saying farewell to our family we set off , landed to Slovenia airport. One lady met us at the airpot. For my watch the sun must have risen up but it was Slovenian timeso it showed me an hour late. Half an hour later we went to school there were some differences such as they had 2 meals at school, they don’t have to uniform. We made roller blade, joined the lessons, made experiments with our friends. Everyday they organized the tour. The most attractive place in Slovenia was Cave.
I saw Adriatic first, nearly my body would taste it I was about to fall down into the sea because of the mossy stairs.
Saying in one word, ‘Journey to Slovenia is wonderful ‘
As a result Everyone must know that it is a wonderful feeling to learn and discover new places.’
That is my adventure of abroad:
by Gizem Türker, 6-a pupil:
‘I was so anxious because ý would leave from my family and it was first for me to be abroad. But this anxious replaced with excitement and curiosity. First day we came the school. It was a good opportunity to know other pupils, culture and education system. First day I cried because I missed my family but in other days I got used to my friends and my host family. Slovenia has got many historical and natural beauties. I liked the Cave too much and the Mine was so interesting.
I thank you my family because they got interested to me, we played games and had enyoyable time together. Slovenia is such a magnificient
place to go and see.’
